COVID -19 ALERT LEVEL 3: ANXIETY NZ SERVICES UPDATE

Updated: May 11

Published on 1st March 2021.

Currently Auckland is in Alert Level 3 and the rest of NZ is in Alert Level 2. It’s important to connect with good support to help look after our mental health and wellbeing and especially while we experience changes brought about by Alert Levels and COVID-19.

We are welcoming people to call our free 24/7 National 0800 ANXIETY Helpline (0800 269 4389) anytime for advice and to learn helpful skills to manage anxiety. Anxiety NZ has prepared for all Alert Level changes and aims to keep providing our wide range of support services within the recommended health and safety guidelines.

- All appointments will be held online using ZOOM or by phone instead of in-person. Our client liaison team are reaching out to people who have current appointments booked. To make or change an appointment you are welcome to contact our team https://www.anxiety.org.nz/contact-us

- Our St Lukes based clinic will not be open for in-person visits or appointments until we return to Level 2 or 1. Please contact us by phone or email instead of visiting in person.

- Anxiety NZ will continue to receive new referrals and make contact with people wanting to see a psychologist, psychotherapist or doctor. Visit here https://www.anxiety.org.nz/contact-us

- Our team will be available over the phone (09 846 9776) and via email (reception@anxiety.org.nz) as usual during our clinic opening hours Tues – Sat. There might be a larger than usual volume of contact, so we will aim to reply as soon as possible.

- Peer Support Groups will be held online or some groups may choose to wait until Alert Level 2 or 1 to meet. Peer Group facilitators will contact group members with updates.

- Anxiety NZ will continue to offer community education and support through its online channels (website, Facebook, LinkTree, Instagram and newsletters).

- Our free 24/7 Anxiety Helpline (0800 269 4389) will continue to offer support to callers throughout all Alert Level changes.

- Anxiety NZ encourages people to visit https://covid19.govt.nz/ for more information about stating safe and Alert Levels.
